Child Protection
Child Protection within Clackmannanshire is overseen by the Child Protection Committee (CPC). Social services staff are key members of the CPC.
Work undertaken by the CPC includes all operational and strategic development issues. It reviews its work on an annual basis with the compilation of an annual report and business plan.

The Community Team provides supervision to people referred by the court system, background reports for Sheriffs and Judges on people convicted of offences, and operates the Community Service system.
Strategic Overview and Business Plan
Our Strategic Overview and Business Plan covers the work of the service for the period 2009 to 2012. It explains how our strategic plans will be delivered and monitored for the coming year, and details our actions for 2009/2010, as well as service development priorities for the next three years.
You can find more information about relevant plans and key legislation and drivers on our Social Services Plans page.
Workforce Development
The Training Service unit is responsible for commissioning workforce development opportunities to enable staff to achieve qualifications for registration and career development. A range of mandatory and continuous learning and development opportunities is also offered.
The Training Services staff work in partnership with Human Resources, cross council, and with a range of training providers. A Workforce Development Strategy will direct and drive forward improvements within the service.
