Welcome to the Housing Strategy Team. This section provides you with information on housing strategies, related strategies, and current projects.

In the future we hope to be able to provide on-line surveys and consultation for you to take part in. Local Housing Strategy

This strategy fulfils the legal requirements introduced in the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 by setting out clearly how the Council, working in partnership with others, can best tackle housing issues across all tenures owner-occupation, social or private renting over the five years to 2009.

Strategic Housing Investment Plan

It is now a requirement for Councils to prepare an annual Strategic Housing Investment Plan, setting out their priorities for investing in affordable housing. Clackmannanshire Council area currently receives around £3million each year to provide new housing.

Fuel Poverty Strategy

The strategy sets our how the Council working in partnership with others, will tackle the challenge set by the Scottish Executive to eradicating fuel poverty in our area by 2016.

Homelessness Strategy

A corporate strategy aimed at reducing and improving services to those experiencing homelessness over the five years to 2009.

Tenant Participation Strategy

This document sets a good practice Tenant Participation framework for the landlords operating in the Clackmannanshire area.

Supporting People Strategy

This Strategy explains how the Council, with its partners, wants housing support services to change and develop over the five years to 2008.

Houses In Multiple Occupation (HMO) Strategy

A strategy designed by our Environmental Services colleagues, to meet the Councils statutory licensing obligations, while ensuring that the HMO sector continues to play a valuable role in providing housing within Clackmannanshire, particularly where this involves vulnerable people.
