Learning English / English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Free 2 hour English lessons for the week 11th to 15th January inclusive.
Come along to Tillicoultry Community Centre at 5.00 pm on 11th January to be assessed and registered.
If you would like to learn English, regular classes or tutoring are available:
Normal classes resume 18th January at a cost of £30.00 and include
- 6 weeks' expert tuition with possibilities of extra one-to-one sessions with a trained native speaker,
- student course book, student work book, CD ROM and mini-dictionary (retail value £34),
- citizenship content,
- access to the Clackmannanshire English learners' library,
- access to guidance about other council courses and services,
- opportunities to meet with other learners, the Association for Migrant Integration, trained volunteer English language assistants and other such community networks.

Workplace ESOL
Pilot Project with Lemac Engineering
This project started in October 2007 and ran for 10 weeks and was aimed at a mixed abilities group of 11 workers, of Polish and Hungarian origin.
The project was tailored specifically for Lemac and was mainly concerned with general English with workplace specific vocabulary and issues.
