Scottish Government ePlanning Project

The Scottish Government ePlanning Project is a national project involving all Local Authorities aimed at streamlining the whole planning process, from initial submission of an application (online) through viewing, commenting, tracking to the final decision stage.

Using the Online Application and Appeals portal and the Online Planning Information System all planning application information is available electronically.

Submit a Planning Application Online - NEW

You can now submit a Planning Application online via the Scottish Government website www.eplanning.scotland.gov.uk. Using intelligent forms, a fee calculator, document loader and secure payment method all elements of a planning application can be submitted online.

Clackmannanshire Council has recently adopted the Scottish Government Standard Forms for all types of applications. All forms can be downloaded from www.eplanning.scotland.gov.uk and filled in online and printed or downloaded and filled in by hand.

Paying for a Planning Application

You can now pay for a Planning Application online via the Council's Online Payments web page or by ringing 01259 450000 with your credit card details.

Alternatively you can come to Kilncraigs and pay using the "Planning workstation" in our reception.

We are now discouraging payment by cheque for planning applications.

Online Planning Information System - enhanced functionality

Clackmannanshire Council already provides all its planning related information online. However, this is being enhanced to include all submitted forms and drawings, any correspondence, objections, consultations and decisions that are taken.

You can also comment and/or object on current applications via our eplanning website.

You can search our live 'back office' planning system to view all applications received by the Council since 1985.
You can search by a whole range of criteria including
- case number,
- address or postcode,
- date received,
- status,
- applicant name,
- agent name.
You can also use the mapping facility to search via location.
The site also stores all scanned in documents (forms, drawings, correspondences, objections, consultations and decision notices) dated from 2000 onwards, and gives you the ability to search historical applications back to 1985.
