		<description><![CDATA[<p>The Rotary Club of Alloa will hold their annual sponsored hill walk on Sunday 6th June. The event is open to local clubs and organisations and is a chance to raise much needed funds as all money raised in sponsorship by walkers is returned to their organisation in full.</p><p>As in previous years, there will be free refreshments en-route followed by a BBQ at the end.</p><p><strong>You can download an <a href="/form/578.pdf">entry form</a> from this page. 		<title>New members welcome to join Clackmannanshire Choral Society</title>

		<description><![CDATA[<h5>Clackmannanshire Choral Society, under its Conductor, Sandy Sinclair, practice on Mondays in St Mungo's Church of Scotland, Bedford Place, Alloa starting at 7.00 pm.</h5><p>The choir performs two main concerts each year, the first at Christmas and another in the late Spring. The first concert is of seasonal material for Christmas and the latter comprises more general material.</p><p>There are vacancies in all voices, but there is a special need for Sopranos and Basses. There are no voice tests for entry.&#160; It is not generally realised, but most people are able to&#160;sing in a Choir and most cannot read music, when they first join a Choir.&#160; So why not come along to a rehearsal and give it a try.</p><h5>Please get in touch to find out about practice nights.</h5><p>&#160;</p>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[<p>Free activity classes are available as part of the Clackmannanshire Healthier Lives project which is funded through <a href="/community/clackmannanshirealliance/">Clackmannanshire Alliance</a>.</p><ul><li><strong>Walk Fit Challenge</strong><ul><li><strong>Gartmorn Dam (visitor centre) - Mondays 6.00 to 7.00 pm:</strong><br />Improve your fitness through our walk challenge. Start on the bronze walk and improve to silver and gold walks. Take in the great scenery round Gartmorn Dam and improve your health. Put your best foot forward and get walking with our qualified instructors. All welcome.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Salsa Class</strong><ul><li><strong>New Alva Academy - Tuesdays 6.00 to 7.00 pm:</strong><br />Salsa is a great way to keep fit and healthy as well as meeting new people. This class is suitable for all ages and backgrounds and you don't need a partner - come along on your own and enjoy the fun!</li></ul></li><li><strong>Gym Class</strong><ul><li><strong>Bowmar Centre - Tuesdays 1.30 to 2.30 pm:</strong><br />A mixture of body toning, aerobics and gym-based exercise, this class is suitable for all levels of fitness from beginners to advanced.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Gym Fit Class</strong><ul><li><strong>New Alloa Academy - Wednesdays 6.00 to 7.00 pm:</strong><br />Come along and exercise in the new fitness suite using brand new gym equipment. Work through a programmed class with qualified staff.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Aerobic Class</strong><ul><li><strong>Tullibody Civic Centre - Wednesdays 7.00 to 8.00 pm:</strong><br />This rhythmic aerobic exercise involves stretching and aerobic training routines to help improve flexibility, cardio-vascular fitness and weight loss.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Walking Group</strong><ul><li><strong>Clackmannan Town Hall - Thursdays 11.30 am to 12.30 pm:</strong><br />This is an easy form of exercise and a great way to help with weight loss. Get outdoors, stretch your legs, get some fresh air and meet new friends. </li></ul></li></ul><p>Classes will run weekly through until the end of March 2010.</p>]]></description>
