Tullibody Healthy Living

Tullibody Healthy Living is a registered charity that offers support and advice to help people live happier, healthier lifestyles.

Based in Tron Court, the main shopping and social area of Tullibody, its aim is to promote healthy living in its widest sense, making services accessible to all residents who live in Tullibody, Cambus and Glenochil.

Services offered

We currently offer local services, provided free of charge, which include:

Sexual Health Clinic for young people (through Caledonia Youth)
Tai Chi
Dance Class
Over 50s Exercise Class
Weight Management Group
Fitter Fellas
Walking Group
Help to get back into work (with a Tullibody Clackmannanshire Works surgery)
Smoking Cessation (through Clackmannanshire Healthier Lives)
Saturday Youth Club

There is also provision to access fresh, affordable fruit and veg every Thursday at the Fruit Barra, run by local volunteers. A Monday pre-order service is also available.

Support

We support Clackmannanshire Healthier Lives by providing

referrals to the key workers
a central location for key workers to meet clients
community events throughout the year

We adopt a community-led approach to health. That's not jargon, it means what it says.

Our quarterly events are used to assess interest in certain activities. We would not put something on because we think it is a good idea. We would ask the community first. Our fruit barra is a result of this. Residents felt that the healthy eating advice was good, but fed back to us that they could not afford to buy fresh produce.

Further engagement then took place, day to day and through special events. The community were very quick to respond and said they would use a fruit barra service. This is why the Fruit Barra is a well used service which has been operating now for two and a half years.
